Industrial Monitoring Extensions (H2d-Industrial)
PRELIMINARY
Summary: Mechanical systems (gears, bearings, biological: heart rhythm) exhibit structure metric degradation (S = λ₁/λ₂ eigenvalue ratio) preceding failure.
Key Observations:
- UNSW gear dataset: S: 3.30 → 2.73 (-17% "softening") before acoustic energy release
- MIT-BIH heart: S ≈ 725.65 ("time crystal" extreme order)
- NASA IMS bearings: S ≈ 1.4-1.6 (near √2 chaos limit)
These results suggest resonance-driven instability extends to non-fluid mechanical systems.
Status
This work is unpublished and requires:
- Preregistered holdout validation
- Direct comparison to φ, 3:2, 2:1 hierarchy
- Theoretical connection to KAM tori in mechanical phase space
- Independent replication in external sensor datasets
Project Status: H2d-Industrial (active development)
